The purpose of this guide is to configure an Epson TM-U220b Network Impact Printer to work with the Bypass point of sale system. If you do not have this printer model or have a different Epson Impact print, contact the Clover Sport Help team at (512) 291-6192 OPTION 1.

1. Print the Network Config Page
- Make sure the printer is turned ON and has paper loaded. You will not be able to print the Network Configuration page if the printer is OFF.
- On the back of the printer, find the "Reset" button. Using something thin enough (like a paper clip), push and hold the reset button until the Network Config sheet prints out.
Your Network Config slip that prints out should look similar to the image above. Look for the TCP/IP settings on this sheet. Remember this information as we will be configuring our computer to the same network.
IP Address: 10.1.10.156
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
2. Connect the Printer to a Computer
Plug the printer into the computer via an ethernet cable.
For MAC, follow the instructions here to change your computer's IP settings:
https://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-IP-Address-on-a-Mac
For PC, follow the instructions here to change your computer's IP settings: https://nordvpn.com/blog/how-to-set-up-static-ip-address/
Using the above example, let's configure our computer to match the network information from above. Any IP address between 10.1.10.1 and 10.1.10.255 will work (except for 10.1.10.157 since that is the connected printer's IP address in our current example). The subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0. The default gateway is not required if connected locally to the printer, but if you're connecting over a network, you should input this too (10.1.10.254 in our current example).
3. Log into the Epson Config Page
Once you have changed your computer's IP settings, check that you are directly connected via Ethernet to the printer and that the printer is powered on. We can now navigate to any web browser you prefer, and in the URL address bar, type in the IP address of your printer and hit enter. (In this case, we would type in 10.1.10.157). Example above:
If you are prompted to input a username/password, the username and password is default set to:
username: epson
password: serial # (this is case sensitive, please capitalize accordingly)
If you have trouble signing in, it is likely someone changed the password.
After you enter these credentials, you will be directed to the Epson Printer landing page. Note that if these credentials do not work, you will need to reset the printer to its factory default settings manually. To do so, be sure to load paper into the printer and turn it off. Press and hold the reset button down while you restore power to the device. When you turn it on, you are going to continue to hold the reset button until a warning paper prints out of the device. If you continue to hold, another paper will print out showing that it has been reset.
Navigate to the TCP/IP link on the navigation pane on the screen's left side. Here we can enter the new IP settings that we wish to set this printer too. Make sure to type in the IP Address, the Subnet Mask, and the Default Gateway information. Always double check your information before hitting the "SUBMIT" button.
The page will refresh after clicking SUBMIT, confirming the new configuration. Wait about 5-10 seconds, and then click the RESET button. Power your printer off and back on again. To verify you completed this process correctly, you can re-print the network config sheet.
