Cart, Menu, and Menu Categories
The Register Screen is organized into a Cart, a Menu, and the Menu Categories. The Menu shows that Location's Menu Items and is organized by Menu Categories.
Menu Categories are displayed in Alphabetical Order on the right hand side, unless you adjust their position number in Clover Sport Manager. Please see the article Menu Categories to learn how to edit positions.

5. If the Location settings allow tips, the Customer will be prompted to tip. After tipping or skipping the tip screen, they will insert, swipe, or tap to pay.
6. Continue taking orders from the Register screen.
60-Second Timer
When paying with the Credit or Split Credit option, or authorizing a tab with the Credit or Split Credit option, a 60-second timer will appear on the order taker screen. This timer will inform the order taker whether the customer has interacted with the customer-facing mini display to initiate payment. If the customer does not interact with the mini and progress through the payment process within 60 seconds, the payment will be canceled and the order taker will need to select the Credit or Split Credit option again. The order information will not be lost, nor will the order taker need to input the order again. The timer will restart its 60-second count if the customer interacts with the customer-facing mini display (e.g. selecting their tip, swiping their card, initiating tap-to-pay, etc.). The timer and the information in the Transaction Processing window provide the order taker with clear updates on the customer's actions.
Note if the customer fails to sign on the customer-facing display within the 60-second window. The credit card payment will be voided and the transaction will have to be completed again. This only applies to credit card payments that have extended to the digital signature process when digital signatures are required for the transaction.
Item with Modifiers
Items that show a small plus icon have Modifiers connected to them. A second screen will appear and show any additional options added to that item.
Different Menu Item Types
The type of Item controls how it functions on the Register. This article will explain what the different Item types are and how they appear on the register.
When creating a Menu Item you can choose between four different types. Standard, weighted, gift card, or open price.
- Standard Item - Item with price
- Weighted Item- Item with a price per ounce
- Gift Card - Item that sells a gift card or Stored Value item.
- Open Price Item - An Item that prompts with a price when tapped

Pickup Notifications
If Pickup Notifications are enabled a prompt will ask for the customer's name and phone number. Note that Pickup Notifications are only available with the Contactless Commerce license.
