Location Type determines functionality as well as controls how the register will behave and what features it will use. The Location Types are:
Concession (Most Common)
Concession is the most common and frequently used Location Type. Used for general concession style order taking, Concession is for increased speed of service such as grab and go, belly-up concession, and bars.
Commissary
Commissary is used for Suites, Pantries, and Premium locations. A Suite Pantry is the main hub that distributes and manages orders for individual suites. The register will have access to Server Station allowing the cashier to manage multiple Suites. Suites can be run as a Concession if you do not want to assign Suites or print receipts. For more information about using Server Station with Commissary, click here.
Note: Requires Suites to be set up.
Restaurant
Restaurant is used for sit-down table service and restaurant-style order-taking. This Location Type adds Server Station which allows orders to be connected to tables. Restaurants can be run as a Concession if you do not want to assign tables or print receipts. For more information about using Server Station for a Restaurant, click here.
Vending Room
This Location Type is used for sports vending operations and large-area hawking. Using a vending location enables Vending mode. When the register is opened, Manager will ask for a vendor. Hawkers are vendors, not employees, and can be assigned commission (e.g. they get 3% of the total sales of items sold).
