Once you have successfully uploaded and configured your Bucks cards in the Manager portal, your cards are ready to be redeemed and reloaded at the Clover register. Please see the features below to use your new Bucks cards. How to Check Out with Bucks on the Register
- After adding adding items to the card, proceed to the checkout screen and choose the Stored Value payment option.
- You will be prompted to swipe the card or scan the QR code on the back of your Bucks card to verify funds.
Please note: You must use an external scanner to scan the Bucks card. The internal scanner used for logging into the Register is not a supported method for redeeming Bucks cards. - Once verified, the transaction will be processed and the new card balance will be displayed.
- You can then navigate to the orders page to verify the transaction.
How to Check Card Balance on the Register
- From the register screen, open the overflow menu (3 dots on the top right) and click Check Card Balance
- You will be prompted to swipe your Bucks card
- You will then see your current card balance
How to Add/Reload Card Balance at the Register
Note: You will need to configure a Gift Card menu item in Manager before using this feature. Please see the Bucks - Setup Guide for more information.
- Add your Gift Card menu item to the cart and enter the amount you wish to add to the card
- Then proceed to the check out screen and choose your payment type
- You will then be prompted to swipe the Bucks card you wish to reload
- Then you will be prompted to confirm the payment amount for the transaction
- Reload is complete, you can then Check Card Balance to confirm
How to Check Out with Bucks on the Flex
1. In the cart, tap Stored Value.
2. Swipe the Bucks card like you would a credit card. Otherwise, tap to manually type the card number. Click Submit.
3. If desired, leave a tip.
4. Note the existing balance once the payment has been complete.
5. Click Print Receipt to print a receipt out of the top of the Flex or click Continue to continue taking orders.
How to Check Balance on the Flex
1. From the menu screen, tap the overflow menu (3 dots). Note: You may not Check Balance from the Orders page. To get to the menu screen, tap the blue plus sign in the bottom right corner.
2. Tap Check Balance.
3. Swipe the Bucks card like you would a credit card. Otherwise, tap to manually type the card number. Click Submit.
4. Once you've viewed the balance, tap Close.
How to Add/Reload Card Balance on the Flex
1. Tap the plus sign to add the gift card item to the cart.
2. Input the amount the guest wants to load onto the card. Click Submit.
3. Click the cart. Click Cash.
4. Use the button on the left side of the Flex to scan the QR code on the back of the Bucks card. Otherwise, type the card number using the keyboard.
5. Enter the amount of cash the guest is paying with. Click Submit.
6. Once the payment is submitted, you may print a receipt or continue to taking more orders.
