When making an order on a Flex, you can add item-level instructions for each item such as special requests or modifications to notify the kitchen staff when using Remote Fulfillment. There are two ways to add item-level instructions to an order.
Item-level Instructions in the Cart
1. After adding items to an order, navigate to the Cart.
2. Tap an item to edit it.
3. Tap Add special instructions.
4. Use the keyboard to enter the special instructions.
5. Tap Update or the checkbox on the keyboard.
Item-level instructions appear under the item in the cart, like in the example shown below.

Item-level Instructions in the Menu
1. While adding an item to the cart, you can press and hold the add button (+), and the special instructions dialogue will appear.
2. Use the keyboard to type the special instructions.
3. Tap Add to Order.
4. Tap the Cart. Special instructions appear under the item.
