Flex devices can be used in an Offline Mode if a cellular/network outage does occur. Once in airplane mode, you still can take orders and payments on credit as normal, but payments will not sync until the device is back online. For more information on Offline Mode, please visit this article.

Log In Online Before Putting into Airplane Mode
You must be online to log in to the correct location and pull menus to the Flex device.
We recommend you store your Flexes in an area with a strong internet or LTE connection so that you can log all of them in and pull the menu screen before you take the device offline to use them in the stands. This will ensure that you pull the proper menu updates to the device.
1. While connected to Wifi or LTE, log into the Flex.
2. Select your Portables Location.
3. Click the blue plus sign and then swipe through the menu to ensure it is correct.
4. Add an item to the cart and click on Cart to verify that your payment options have successfully loaded.
5. Once you have logged in and verified the menu and payment options, follow the steps in the next section to turn the device to airplane mode. Stay on the Cart page when you toggle to airplane mode.
Put the Device in Offline Mode (Airplane Mode)
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Tap the airplane mode icon. You will know airplane mode is switched on when the button goes from gray to green and you see the airplane icon on the top right next to the battery.
Note: Orders taken offline will show up grayed out (see image below).
Offline Credit Card Amount Limit
If an order exceeds the offline credit card limit, the credit and split credit buttons will be disabled.
In the example below, the offline credit card amount limit at the Location is set for $100.00.
In order to complete the transaction, you must bring the order below the offline credit card amount limit.
Note: If your device is offline and you update the offline credit card amount limit at the Location, you must bring the device back online and log back into the Flex to retrieve the update.
Logging Out When You Have Unsynced Offline Orders
Upon logging out, you will be notified if you have any Offline Orders that have not synced.
Follow the steps in the next section to sync the orders.
Syncing Orders When Back Online
1. Connect the Flex to the internet using your network or a mobile hotspot.
2. Once you are back online, go to the Orders page.
3. Swipe down with your finger on the orders page or tap the Sync button at the top to sync all orders taken offline.
4. Proceed to log out.
