Single Scan Loyalty is a feature built for venues who are using Loyalty and Stored Value (SV) with a third party provider (such as Lava or Venuetize) that allows guests to scan their digital ticket once in order to:
- Accrue Loyalty points
- Redeem available vouchers (discounts)
- Pay with their stored value balance
Notes: You must use an external scanner to scan Loyalty and Stored Value QR codes and barcodes. The internal barcode scanner used for logging into the Register is not a supported method for adding Loyalty or paying with Stored Value.
This feature is designed for the Station Duo on Register mode only. This feature does not work for Kiosk. This feature works with any third party loyalty provider that uses Stored Value Router. Please reach out to Support to find out if Single Scan Loyalty is available for your venue.
Configuration Settings for Single Scan Loyalty
Under POS Manager > Locations > Payment Methods, Stored Value does not need to be enabled as a payment option for Single Scan Loyalty to work on the Station Duo.
One reason you would also need to enable Stored Value would be to close an order to a different stored value provider, such as Bypass Bucks.
If a Location will be using Station Duos AND Flexes, then you will also still want to enable Stored Value at the Location to give access to an order taker using a Flex to close an order to the Stored Value payment method.
Please note: Check Card Balance is not available for Single Scan Loyalty providers.
Under General Settings, if you set the Default scanning behavior for Anywhere and Access to Loyalty, then this will save button presses in the checkout flow for Single Scan. Instead of having to navigate to the three-dot menu and click "Add Loyalty", the guest can simply scan their ticket using the external scanner when on the menu or checkout screen.
How to Use Single Scan Loyalty at the Register
- Note: This workflow assumes that Loyalty is selected as the Default scanning behavior for Anywhere and Access under the General Settings.
The following workflow outlines how to accrue Loyalty points, redeem available vouchers, and pay with the loaded ticket by scanning the ticket once from the menu screen.
- Navigate to the Register and add items to the cart.
- While on the menu screen, tell the guest to scan their QR Code using the external Zebra scanner. Note that the Loyalty account number appears above the cart total.
- Click Checkout.
- On the Checkout screen, note that the Loyalty Card has been applied. Wait for available vouchers to appear.
- If there are no available vouchers, then you will see No vouchers available for order.
- If there are available vouchers, you have the option to Apply All, or select 1 or more that you would like to redeem and click Apply Selected.
- If you do not wish to apply any available vouchers, click Close.
- Once the discounts have been applied, select the payment method. If paying with the loaded ticket, select Apply Available Balance.
- If there is an available balance, it displays the dollar amount.
- If there is not available balance, it displays $0.00. Do not attempt to close to the loaded ticket if there is no balance left.

Tipping options:
- If the Location is configured to accept digital signatures and to allow tips, then the guest is prompted to tip on the Customer Facing Display.
- If the Location is configured to accept signatures on printed receipts and to allow tips, then the guest will write their tip down on the receipt, sign it, and hand it to the order taker.
- Note: The Order Taker should then navigate to the completed order immediately to enter the tip amount of the order so that the tip is deducted from the guest's available balance. If the order taker waits until the end of the event to input the tip, this risks the guest not having available funds for the tip later.
