With Clover Sport, Loyalty and Stored Value can be offered as options for customers to redeem points and make purchases. This article will cover the workflows to complete these actions at the register.
- Note: You must use an external scanner to scan Loyalty and Stored Value QR codes and barcodes. The internal barcode scanner used for logging into the Register is not a supported method for adding Loyalty or paying with Stored Value.
- Note: There are two ways Loyalty is added to an order depending if your venue has a feature flag enabled.
How to Add Loyalty to an Order - Feature Flag Enabled
Note: The following workflow is available to customers upon request. The workflow requires that a feature flag is enabled for your venue. Please consult with your Clover Sport Customer Success or Support team if you are interested in this feature.
1. Tap the items being purchased to add them to the cart.
2. Tap Checkout.
3. Tap Add Loyalty+ and either scan the Loyalty barcode or manually type the Loyalty number.
4. From here, select your payment method.
- If you are using Stored Value:
- For venues with Single Scan Loyalty, you may tap Apply Available Balance.
- For venues that do not have Single Scan Loyalty, you may tap Stored Value.
5. After the payment method has been selected, the available vouchers (discounts) associated with the Loyalty account appear.
6. To apply all available vouchers, simply tap Apply All.
To apply a certain set of 1 or more vouchers, tap each voucher you wish to redeem and then tap Apply Selected.
7. Once added, the Loyalty Account and any discounts added will be displayed. If paying with Stored Value, and you don't have Single Scan Loyalty, scan the Loyalty Account again to use the balance to pay for the order (as shown below).

How to Use Stored Value as Payment (No Single Scan)
If a customer intends to use Stored Value, meaning using a ticket with a loaded balance to pay, follow the steps outlined below.
- Note: The guest cannot choose how much of the balance to use on the card. As soon as the card is scanned or swiped, whatever balance is available is applied to the order. If there are not enough funds on the card, there is a remaining balance due that must be paid with another payment tender. Clover Sport recommends to check the balance on the card first, before using it in a transaction.
1. Add all desired items to the cart.
2. Tap Checkout.
3. Tap Stored Value.
4. Select the correct pre-configured Stored Value Partner.
5. Once the selection is made, the guest scans the card or QR code using the external barcode scanner.
6. If tips are configured for the Location, the guest may add a tip or skip.
