Preparing your items for Kiosk can help improve the likelihood of a customer choosing to purchase that item. Adding Images, Descriptions, and Modifiers can make items more appealing. This guide will show how to edit and change settings for each item.
To make edits to these items, navigate to POS Manager > Menu Manager.
1. Click Items.
2. Click on an Item you want to edit.
3. You can edit:
- Item Name - Item name as it appears in non-customer facing scenarios such as the register, in Manager & in reports.
- Display Name - Name of the item that will display to customers on the Kiosk screen.
- Category - The category the item will appear under on the Kiosk. For more info on managing Menu Categories, click here.
- SKU - If using an external scanner to add items to the cart, enter the SKU number on the barcode of the menu item. If there are two "floating" digits on the left and right side of the barcode, make sure to include those as well.
- Default Price - Price of the item before any discounts or surcharges are added.
- Image - Photo or icon the item will show on the Kiosk menu. (For more information on adding images you can click here.)
- Description - Any text you want to describe the item. Being detailed here can help improve sales.
- Alcoholic Item - Checking the Alcoholic Item checkbox adds that to the group of alcoholic items and allows you to limit the number that can be ordered per person.
- Scan-only item - Checking the Scan-only checkbox adds that to the group of items that may be hidden from view on the Kiosk menu. Items that are scan-only must be added to the cart by scanning the barcode using an external scanner. Scan-only items are not displayed on the menu and cannot be searched for on the menu. For more information on Scan-only, click here.
4. Modifiers can help improve sales too. For more information on Modifiers, click here.
