Clover Sport tracks inventory perpetually by associating a Recipe with a Menu Item. As you sell your Menu Items at the register, the Stock Items within the Recipe are deducted from your inventory counts at that Location in real time, as long as your Recipe is associated to the Menu Item.
Quick Overview
In order to track Inventory, you will need to create Stock Items and Recipes for your items. In the example below, when I sell a Cheeseburger at my stand, one bun, one patty, and one slice of cheese gets deducted from my inventory counts.
Recipes are collections of one or more Stock Items. A Menu Item can only be attached to one Recipe.
- Note: Every Menu Item, even those that are represented by just one Stock Item, must have a Recipe built and attached in order to track it perpetually in Inventory. For example, a Bottle of Coke (Menu Item) needs a Recipe that holds the Stock Item, Coke Bottle 20oz.
