Cashiers use the Register Screen to take new orders. This article will explain what the Register Screen is and how to how to use it. To learn more about creating an order click here.
Cart, Menu, Menu Categories
The Register Screen is organized into a Cart, a Menu, and the Menu Categories. The Menu shows that Location's Menu Items and is organized by Menu Categories.
Menu categories are displayed in Alphabetical Order on the right hand side, unless you adjust their position number in Clover Sport Manager. Please see the article Menu Categories to learn how to edit positions.
Action Buttons on the Register Screen
The bar at the top of the screen has the following buttons from left to right:
- Back Button - Returns to the previous screen
- Order Screen - Shortcut to the order screen. Also displays any Offline Orders.
- Offline toggle - Toggles Offline Mode on and off
- Search - Searches the Menu
- Reprint - Reprints the last receipt

Additional Options Menu (three dot menu) - Displays a drop-down menu with additional options
- Devices: Navigate to the devices page where you can manage what external devices are connected to the station such as Printers, Scanners, Kitchen Display Systems, and more
- Open Cash Drawer: opens the cash drawer without a cash sale being made (may require Manager pin depending on Role Permissions of the Employee logged in)
- Add Loyalty: If a venue has a Loyalty integration partner, this is where you will add Loyalty before proceeding to Checkout
- Check Card Balance: If your venue has Stored Value (Bucks) or a third-party integration, you can check the balance on a Stored Value card
- Reset Remote Device:
- Logout: Log out of the device
